24 Weeks
Since the weather has been so nice, I finally got to take an outdoor bump photo!! Of course I wanted the pups to be part of it!!! I'm holding our 2 year old Boston Terrier, Maxwell. Lola is by my feet - she is a 3 1/2 year old Pug/Cairn Terrier Mix. Our third dog, a 6 year old Jack Russell/Italian Greyhound mix named Marley, does NOT like to have his photo taken, so he ran away before Mark could snap the photo. I am really looking forward to the dogs meeting baby hill. Lola and Marley can both definitely tell that I am pregnant. Lola in particular is constantly sniffing and licking my belly. If you ask her where the baby is, she will run over and stare at my ever growing bump (that may have had to do with some training on my part, but its still pretty cute!!!). If you know Bostons at all, you would know that if it is not a toy, Maxwell does not notice it.... so I'm pretty sure he just thinks his mama is getting fat.
I have been doing a lot of reading on how to introduce your new baby to your pets and Mark and I plan on letting them sniff a baby blanket before seeing the actual baby, going on a walk the moment we get home from the hospital - that way the dogs feel like baby is a new member of the pack, and setting appropriate boundaries between baby and pups until everyone is very comfortable. I think that the dogs will love Baby Hill. Since she is making her debut during the summer I can take baby hill with me, hopefully, the dogs daily/walking routine will not be too messed up, allowing for a smoother transition for all.

Knitting Class
Just as the weather was getting nice and I was exercising again, I got a stress fracture on my right foot and got put in an air cast for a few weeks. I was feeling pretty down about this after spending the last 4 months either on the couch or hugging the toilet. Mark - being the FABULOUS guy that he is - wanted me to be able to get out the house so he scoured the internet and found a knitting class that the two of us went to this past weekend. It was a great afternoon and I had a blast watching Mark learn to knit. Our new joke is that we can save a ton of money by knitting all of baby hill's clothes! As long as she doesnt care about holes in her clothes, or if they fit, this should be no problemo!

23 Weeks
At 23 weeks pregnant, not only am I rocking a bigger bump; I'm also rocking a boot! This past weekend a surge of energy, combined with BEAUTIFUL weather, had me doing a little more than I should have been doing probably. Long story short, I wound up with a stress fracture on my right foot and now get to lug this giant air cast around for a while! The cast is actually amazing and when I wear it, I can walk completely normally, so its not really slowing me down at all which I am soooo thankful for after being couped up for the last 4 months between morning sickness and cold weather. Other than that, things are going great!. I can feel baby moving multiple times a day now. I have even had the pleasure of seeing my belly move as she kicks and flips around over the past few days and it is amazing to me. I swear, my new favorite activity is to stare at my belly and watch for her to make it move! Mark has felt some movement, although he has yet to see/feel a really good kick. We are busy checking out birthing class options and talking about a solid birth plan, reading about caring for newborns (and contemplating practicing a few diaper changes on our four legged kids!!!), and really starting to prepare for the arrival of Baby Hill!

22 weeks
Mark and I celebrated 22 weeks with a date night to one of our favorite restaurants, Chop House. The food was fabulous and the company was even better! It is always nice to spend some good, quality, alone time together and I hope we can keep up our date night tradition once Baby Hill arrives...
Until next time..

Battle of the Bumps
The problem with having multiple cameras, is that I forget about photos I have taken sometimes....
I was uplaoding and updating all of my photos this morning, when I can across this winner. It is from a date night that Mark and I took a few weeks ago (I think I was about 17 weeks pregnant because the morning sickness was just starting to ease up).. Who do you think rocks a bump better???

Craving of the Day
Thanks to a Family Feud game about carnival food, last night I got an unbelievable craving for funnel cake. There were no fairs in town, but that did stop me from getting my way. I looked up a recipe online and made my very own homemade funnel cake to enjoy. It was easy and DELICIOUS; plus now I have a super-cool Mom skill for when Baby Hill has sleepovers or birthday parties!!!

Halfway There!!!
Ok… so I am a week late in posting this, but here I am at 20 weeks pregnant. I am sooo excited to have reached the halfway mark. People keep telling me the last half of pregnancy will fly by and I’m not too upset to hear that!!! I can’t wait to meet this little munchkin who has been kicking me, constantly laying right on my bladder, and keeping me up all night (not that that will change once she is here)!! Things are going great now that I am feeling better and I am really enjoying being pregnant right now. I have spent the last few weeks catching up on everything I put off while I was feeling so bad, so sorry for the lack of updates..
Until next time....
